Way of the Cross - Luisa Piccarreta
Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta (1865-1947) from Corato, Italy had a vision when she was thirteen: She saw a great crowd passing below her balcony, led by Jesus Who was carrying the Cross on His shoulders and being dragged along. His face was dripping with blood. He raised His head, and with a pitiful look and a deep, plaintive voice cried out, “Soul, help Me!”
In her writings “The Hours of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ”, Luisa describes Jesus’ Passion according to her visions. The texts for this Way of the Cross are taken from this devotional book.
