St. Joseph

St. Joseph

It was God Himself who chose St. Joseph as a husband for his singular daughter and the mother of His Son. If, already, parents here on earth wish the best husband for their daughter, how wonderful a husband St. Joseph must have been that God chose him! ...

Novena of Surrender - O Jesus, I surrender myself to You, You take care of this

“Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid!” With these words, Jesus reassures His disciples who cried out in fear seeing Him walking toward them on the Sea of Galilee as they were struggling to survive the storm. Do we not all know, more or less, such moments in our lives, when a storm is raging and, humanly seen, we have no solution?

Novena to St. Therese of Lisieux - German

“I have always wanted to be a saint. Alas, I have always noticed that when I compared myself to the saints, there is between them and me the same difference that exists between a mountain whose summit is lost in the clouds and the obscure grain of sand trampled underfoot by the passersby. Way of the Cross - Luisa Piccarreta

Way of the Cross - Luisa Piccarreta

Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta (1865-1947) from Corato, Italy had a vision when she was thirteen: She saw a great crowd passing below her balcony, led by Jesus Who was carrying the Cross on His shoulders and being dragged along. His face was dripping with blood. He raised His head, and with a pitiful look and a deep, plaintive voice cried out, “Soul, help Me!”
In her writings “The Hours of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ”, Luisa describes Jesus’ Passion according to her visions. The texts for this Way of the Cross are taken from this devotional book.
